What I Do I am a Software Engineer. I write software and tests for helicopters and fixed wing aircrafts.
My Day At Work Analyzing problems Technical conversations Designing software and coding Meetings Socializing with my colleagues over coffee/lunch
Best Part Being an engineer is fun. I work on and solve myriad problems. It is a team sport. I collaborate with a team of engineers and managers to create and deliver products. It is rewarding. There is a sense of pride and accomplishment when my software is deployed on an aircraft.
Proud Moments The helicopter used to flight test my software was used for search and rescue operation during Hurricane. It saved a lot of people and animals. It was one of the priceless moments of my life.
Challenges Challenges: Keeping up with ever changing technical advancements and keeping your knowledge up to date. Task switching. Maintaining productivity with a lot of project meetings. How I overcome the Challenges: Reading coding blogs, practising new coding problems, going to Google Scholars to check for new published papers. Using Pomodoro technique: breaking down work into intervals separated by short breaks
