If I get a degree in one type of engineering, is it possible to get a job in another type?

I am majoring in Biomedical Engineering right now, but I have no idea what I want to do in the future. I think I want to continue in this major, but I am not sure if that is what I will want to do in a couple of years. Chemical engineering interests me too, so I was wondering if I would be able to get a chemical engineering job with a biomedical engineering major, or am I restricted to only biomedical engineering.
