What's more important? Biology or Physics?

Hello! I'm currently a sophomore in high school (15), and I've been thinking more lately about what I want to go into as a college major/career. Chemical engineering is a field that is very interesting to me, and it is something I could definitely see myself enjoying as chemistry is my favorite subject. I would like to take AP Biology or AP Physics, but I don't have room in my schedule to take both. I took a physics class last year, but I have never taken a high school biology course (I'm currently taking AP Chemistry without having taking a high school chemistry course before, and I'm doing very well). I currently favor biology over physics, but I know physics seems to be a much bigger component of chemical engineering. My question is, which would you recommend for me to take? Are there other degrees that I could look into? Thanks!

Hello Nicole. I see no one answered you yet. I hope this is not too late.

Either biology and physics will serve you will. If you think you may trend more towards biochemical engineering or environmental engineering topics, I recommend the biology class. It will also give you exposure to biology which may influence your final career choices. You will take plenty of physics in college and it sounds like you already had a class to get exposure. SO, at this point, I recommend biology.
