  • What I Do

I used to design aircraft galley system. Now, as I have been accepted in a new position, I am going through a series of training to be a System Certification and Test Engineer.

  • Why Engineering?

Engineering gets you a chance to improve the world. It feels really wonderful when you know that you are actually positively contributing something to society.

  • School Days

I went to PATTS College of Aeronautics and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering Major in Design.

  • My Day At Work

We conduct system qualification test such as Illuminance, Noise, GAX, Vent, Refrigeration, and Plumbing and provide decisions on troubleshooting.

  • Best Part

What I like about engineering is the challenge to think outside of the box.

  • Proud Moments

First was being a Registered Aeronautical Engineer after college. Second would be getting into a well known airline company for my On-the-Job Training.Lastly is being accepted in Collins Aerospace and working for a job I studied for.

  • Challenges

I knew engineering is something that I like, Aeronautical Engineering to be specific. But financial has always been a challenge for me and my family to pursue my engineering career.  I had to go to the City to study while my parents are in our province where we live. The cost of living and my tuition fees were expensive. And to be honest, my parents didn't have the enough money to provide for that. So it's either they would borrow money from friends and relatives or get a loan. And I would borrow some stuff instead of buying. There were lots of sacrifices.

  • My Family

My family lives in a province in the Philippines called Romblon. We don't have our own house. We live in our relative's. My parents are both teachers. Me and my siblings are academically oriented and disciplined because of that. We aren't rich because in Philippines, a teacher doesn't earn a lot. That's why we always have this goal/dream as a family to work real hard and earn a lot of money so we can build our own house and paid all out debts.  Unfortunately, my parents separated later on. But it gave me a lot more of reasons to work hard.

  • Dreams and Goals

My short term goal is to develop a process or something that will be useful for the team/company. I don't hold the future. I don't know how long before I leave my current job. But before that happens, I want to leave something remarkable.

My long term goal would be to expand my skills and knowledge. I am a design engineer for almost two years and five months now. I love my job, I love what I currently do. But I am also thinking about my growth. I am applying for Certification and Test Engineer internally and I hope I get the position.

  • Inspiration

My family has the greatest influence in my life choices. We went through a lot together and we will be successful together.

  • Want to be an Engineer?

Never be afraid of the unknown. Take the risk. Surpass the challenges. Rule the world young woman!

  • Hobbies

I love taking photographs, cooking, growing indoor plants and traveling. These are the things I do to unwind and relax .
