Why Engineering? I wanted to support myself, and engineers receive excellent salaries. I like meeting new people and understanding how things work!
Challenges Too many people act like victims and blame others for problems that they should fix for themselves. I always try to think about how I can be self-reliant, develop my critical thinking skills, and solve my own problems.
My Family I grew up as an only child and I was the first person in my family to graduate from college. My mother was the daughter of Italian immigrants. My father was the grandson of Prussian immigrants. My husband is also a chemical engineer. We have one daughter and one grandson!
