  • What I Do

I develop nanotechnology and materials that makes our world more sustainable.

  • Why Engineering?

I love the challenge of the chemistry field and how it can be applied to so many disciplines from the medical field, environmental sciences, nanotechnology and sustainability.

  • School Days

Temple University - BS in Chemistry
University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, PhD in Chemistry

  • My Day At Work

Teach students about chemistry, chemical engineering and environmental engineering
Lead a team of diverse researchers from all parts of the world on sustainability projects
Travel the world to give talks and seminars on cutting-edge research

  • Hobbies

I love to read sci-fi novels. My favorite books are by Isaac Asimov.

Biography
I help students explore science and engineering to improve the planet, like a guide showing secret paths in a big, exciting lab adventure. I make even tiny things—like molecules and reactions—feel magical.
