M. Deseada Gutierrez

Desi received the B.Eng. degree in Information Technology from the Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences (Finland) in 2012, in a double degree scheme in conjunction with the University of Malaga (Spain) where she received the B.Eng and M.Eng in Telecommunications Engineering. In 2017 she received a Ph.D. in optical communications from Dublin City University. She has been working since as a Senior Research Optical Engineer in the research and development of unique optical transmitters for high performance optical networks. She is also an active member of IEEE Women in Engineering.
